AfterschoolSearch.com ("AfterschoolSearch," "we," "us") helps parents find kids' activities, classes, camps and events. This policy explains what information we collect on afterschoolsearch.com, including our Parent Resources guides, and how we use it. We keep it short and in plain English.
Information we collect
- Information you give us. When you sign up for early access or our newsletter, we collect your email address. Some forms may also ask for your first name or ZIP code, which are optional. We also record the date you signed up and which page you signed up from.
- Technical information. When you sign up, our server records your IP address to help prevent spam and abuse.
- Usage information. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site, such as which pages are visited, how people find us, and general device and location information (city level, not your exact location). Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect this information.
How we use your information

What we don't do
We do not sell your personal information, and we don't share your email address with other companies for their own marketing. No business pays to be included in our Parent Resources lists.
Who we share information with
We share information only with service providers that help us run the site, such as our web hosting provider, Google (for Google Analytics), and any email service we use to send our newsletter. They may use the information only to provide services to us. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Cookies and analytics choices

Unsubscribing and your choices
Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email us at any time to ask us to remove your email address, or to ask what information we have about you, correct it or delete it. If you live in California or another state with privacy rights laws, you may have additional rights to access and delete your personal information, and we will honor those requests.
Children's privacy
Our site is written for parents and caregivers and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us their information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other websites
Our guides link to camps, schools, programs and other websites we don't control. Their privacy practices are their own, so please review their policies.
Keeping information secure
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we collect, and we keep signup information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or until you ask us to delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as AfterschoolSearch grows. When we do, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
